Flight of Birds

David, a lion cub, was the prince of the forest named Jang. One day he was roaming in the woods in search of food. He
saw a flock of birds sitting nearby. David ran after the birds, but soon all the birds flew away. David became sad. He also wished to fly after the birds, but he could not.

Oh, I wished I could fly,
Oh, I wished I could cut through the sky,
Push myself forward and upward on the way
Follow the flock of birds; they are my prey
Catch somebody, and frighten the prey to sway
Oh, I wished I could fly!

So, David went to his magician uncle and asked him to spell a magic word to get wings to fly. Soon David got wings. Oh, but
to his surprise, he could not fly. David became even sadder.

He again went to the magician uncle. The magician said, “Oh dear, you have got wings like birds, but your weight is more because you do not have hollow bones.

Also, the shape of your body is not streamlined like birds. David said, “Streamlined? What does that mean, uncle?” Magician uncle said, “It means that the front part of a bird’s body is thin, the middle part is broad, and the tail is thin. Owing to this, birds can fly freely in the sky. The magician asked, “Do you want hollow bones and a streamlined body like birds?” David pouted and said, “No, no, I don’t want any light body. If I do that, I will not look like the future king of Jang. I love my powerful appearance.

I am the prince of Jang,
I love my robust body to make a gang,
The Gang of lion cubs
To agitate a flock of birds,
Hahaha, Hehehe I am the future king of Jang!
